Hurricane Season – Lamborghini Huracan | HRE Wheels
From the R8 to the Huracan: Refining a Modern Supercar
John is no stranger to the team here at HG Performance. His incredible Audi R8 Spyder with a 6-speed manual transmission, which we previously built with an Ohlins TTX suspension system and ADV1 wheels, is just one example of the incredible machines he has entrusted to us.
When it came time for John to move on from the R8, the Lamborghini Huracan was the natural next step. With an entirely new chassis, drivetrain, and suspension system, the Huracan delivers an exceptional combination of performance, precision, and unmistakable Italian design. Lamborghini set out to create the ultimate successor to the Gallardo, and while the Huracan is already an impressive supercar straight from the factory, there is always room to make a great platform even more distinctive.
What Was Done
The Huracan doesn’t need much to go from incredible to extraordinary. Rather than overcomplicating the build, we focused on a carefully selected combination of modifications that would complement the car’s existing design and performance.
We fitted a set of HRE Wheels Style 305M in Satin Bronze, adding a subtle contrast against the Huracan’s aggressive black exterior while giving the car a more distinctive and purposeful stance. Novitec Group lowering springs completed the exterior and chassis transformation, giving the Huracan a lower, more planted appearance while maintaining the character of the platform.
We also partnered with KI Studios once again to put the finishing touches on this Lamborghini. The KI Studios Lamborghini Huracan Stripe Kit added just the right amount of color to the otherwise menacing black “Bad Bull,” tying beautifully into the red brake calipers and red interior.
The finished Huracan maintains everything that makes the platform special while adding a carefully considered HG Performance touch—subtle, purposeful, and unmistakably unique.
